This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Users of ChargeScape Services,
  • Participants in energy-company or manufacturer programs supported by ChargeScape.

It does not apply to third-party websites, manufacturers’ mobile apps, or services operated independently from ChargeScape.

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address
  • IP address
  • Utility account information (e.g., account number)

b. Vehicle & Charging Data

  • Vehicle make, model, and VIN
  • Vehicle battery capacity and maximum charge rate
  • Charging times, location, and frequency
  • Charging session data (e.g., kWh consumed, average power, plug-in and unplug times, state of charge, cost)
  • Charger information (e.g., brand, serial number)
  • Charging address or GPS coordinates (where permitted)

We do not collect payment or credit card information directly.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our Services
  • Enable participation in EV charging and other programs offered by manufacturers and energy companies
  • Communicate with you (e.g., service notifications, updates);
  • Conduct analytics and research using aggregated and anonymized data
  • Support marketing, promotions, and advertising; and
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information as follows:

  • With Energy Companies and Program Partners: To enable participation in demand-side management programs they may be offering from time to time
  • With Manufacturers: To facilitate demand-side management services through their platforms.
  • With Service Providers: For hosting, data storage, analytics, and customer support, under strict contractual obligations.
  • As Required by Law: In response to legal obligations, regulatory requirements, or government requests.
  • Aggregated/Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated insights with partners, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

We do not sell personal information to anyone.

5. Your Choices & Opt-Out

  • Data Sharing and Participation in Energy Programs: If you enroll through your manufacturer, you may opt out via their mobile app.
  • If you enroll directly with ChargeScape, you may opt out through our app.
  • Marketing Communications: You can opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for the duration of your participation in energy-company and manufacturer programs and in accordance with contractual requirements.

After program completion, we retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.

Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Security

ChargeScape employs robust safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256);
  • Access controls, monitoring, and audits; and
  • Security practices aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and industry best practices.

8. Your Rights
